About me
My name is Brenda Itzol. I am proud to have grown up in the city of Long Branch. I am the mother of two amazing children — a 7-year-old daughter and a 19-year-old son. I am a Latina leader who is currently in my 21st year of teaching Spanish. I dedicated 18 years to the Long Branch School District and am now in my third year at Matawan-Aberdeen Regional School District, where I genuinely love serving the school community. Over the course of my career, I have taught every grade level from Kindergarten through 12th grade. I have also served as Supervisor of Summer Programs & Director of an Afterschool Program, experiences that strengthened my leadership and commitment to student growth.I hold a Master’s Degree in Educational Administration & completed my doctoral coursework at Kean University. I am currently writing my dissertation focused on Educational Tutorial Programs as part of my Doctorate in Educational Leadership, which I look forward to completing by December 2026. At the heart of it all, I do this for my children and for every student who needs someone to believe in them. Education is not just my career — it’s my calling. Beyond the classroom, I remain deeply committed to community service. I proudly reside in Matawan, New Jersey, where I have built a loving and supportive home with my family. Family is at the heart of everything I do, and I take great pride in the strong bonds we share and the values we uphold together. “Si lo puedes soñar, lo puedes hacer” “If you can dream it, you can do it”
