Curious about bringing Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence into your classroom but not sure where to start? This beginner-friendly session is designed for educators of all content areas who want practical, manageable ways to introduce CS and AI concepts into their daily instruction. Participants will explore simple strategies for fitting CS and AI into an already packed schedule while gaining helpful tips, tools, and confidence for teaching these rapidly growing topics to students of all learning levels.
During the session, attendees will cross off their back to school “to do list” by being able to “grab” a substitute-ready lesson that can be immediately implemented in their classroom or even stored in their emergency substitute folder required at the beginning of the year. Educators will also learn how tools like ChatGPT and NotebookLM can support lesson planning, differentiation, resource creation, and student engagement. The session will conclude with a hands-on creation workshop where participants will use these AI tools to build their own classroom-ready CS or AI lesson resources to take back and use with students.
