Valerie Brock is the Director of Curriculum at Day of AI, an initiative born out of MIT RAISE (Responsible AI for Social Empowerment and Education) that empowers educators, students, and families to understand and shape the impact of artificial intelligence on their lives and communities. In her role, Valerie leads the design and implementation of age-appropriate, standards-aligned AI literacy curricula for K–12 classrooms worldwide, with an emphasis on equity, creativity, and accessibility for non-technical educators.
Before joining Day of AI, Valerie served as a Computer Science Education Manager with NYC Public Schools, where she supported teachers in integrating computer science and emerging technologies into diverse learning environments. Her earlier experience as a K–8 special education teacher also within NYC Public Schools, shaped her belief that technology should expand, rather than limit, student agency and inclusion.
