About me
Jason Hurd is a Learning Manager on the AI literacy team at the Raspberry Pi Foundation. He develops engaging, research-informed learning experiences that empower young people to understand the impact of AI systems and develop the skills needed to thrive in today’s data-driven world. His current work focuses on integrating AI literacy concepts across a variety of subject areas to create accessible, classroom-ready resources for students and educators. Jason is passionate about equipping educators to teach AI literacy with confidence while helping young people become informed, critical, and responsible digital citizens.
Prior to joining the Raspberry Pi Foundation, Jason spent 16 years as a classroom educator. In 2022, he was a part of the inaugural staff of the first AI-themed high school in the United States where he developed and taught the first Artificial Intelligence high school course pathway in the state of Georgia. He has served on the Georgia Department of Education’s AI Pathway Development Committee and has led the design and implementation of professional development to support teachers integrating AI concepts across multiple subject areas.
