About me
Michelle is an innovative educator, curriculum designer, and presenter specializing in STEAM, computer science, and Maker Education. Her work centers on empowering students from PreK through middle school to become critical thinkers, problem-solvers, and creators through hands-on, inquiry-driven learning.
With expertise in science inquiry, data literacy, computational thinking, AI literacy, and game design, Michelle develops interdisciplinary curricula aligned with CSTA, ISTE, and NSTA standards. Her lessons begin with unplugged, hands-on experiences and intentionally bridge to on-screen learning, grounded in Universal Design for Learning (UDL).
Michelle has presented at national and international conferences, including ISTE, CSTA, NSTA, and AMS, sharing strategies on science inquiry, computational thinking, storytelling with code, AI literacy, sustainability through the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), and data-informed learning in K–8 classrooms.
She has also led school-wide initiatives such as Maker Faires, Code Nights, and Engineering Week, helping cultivate a culture of creativity, innovation, and purposeful technology use.
